Local Sightseeing

The traditions, lifestyle, architecture, culture etc.. of Kinnaur is much different from the rest of India. We are people living in the mountains, often covered with snow. We have long winters and short summers. Or village is the last village of our valley, after that there is only nature. Surrounded by snowy mountains, forest and many apple orchards this is a lovely and peaceful place to be. All of that makes our valley a unique and interesting place to visit.

We will show you all the interesting things here. You will see how we live, the architecture of our buildings and the temples. In Kinnaur valley we also have many hydro projects and water dams. You will get to know and see how we make a lot of electricity just out of water.

Kinnaur is also famous for its apples. Almost every family here owns an apple orchard. We will see how we grow our apples and whats involved into the process of farming apples.

Through the whole valley flows a river, with many curves and falls. What makes this river unique is that it is often covered by snow avalanches and the water flows underneath it.

We will also show you some truly unique spots where you have a breathtaking view into the Bhaba valley with its dense forest and green meadows. There are some wonderful spots to take picture and just enjoy the view.
